From lingerie to silhouettes

How to wear see-through clothing outdoors?

This autumn, our favourite laces are making their way onto long-sleeved bodysuits and delicate camisoles, and are paired with sheer bodysuits. These pieces are a must-have for your wardrobe, adding a touch of sensuality to your back-to-work outfits.

Here’s our practical guide to wearing lace and sheer fabrics out and about, along with our top tips for revealing just the right amount, with a touch of subtlety.

#1 TURN UP THE HEAT

For cooler days, knits are the obvious choice. Our little sleeveless jumpers slip easily over lace or sheer bodysuits: the perfect solution for providing coverage over the bust area without compromising on warmth.

#2 LACE AS A DETAIL

In everyday life, we pair our lace pieces with an oversized shirt or layer them with a loose-fitting jacket. You can choose to leave a few buttons undone at the neckline, revealing the details of a bodysuit or camisole.

#3 SENSUALITY IN DEMAND

To make the most of the sheer fabric, our best advice would be not to cover it up, but rather to wear opaque bras underneath our bodysuits – their simplicity really lets the lace patterns shine through. Underneath the ‘Parfum évanoui’ bodysuit, we recommend wearing the ‘Nouveau monde’ lingerie: the bandeau tops are particularly well-suited for this purpose.

#4 DARE IT ALL

Finally, for those who aren’t afraid to be daring, we recommend wearing nothing else underneath, to really show off the sheer fabric: the floral patterns add a touch of opacity across the bust, especially when the lace is dark in colour.
