In Ysé’s drawers, some pieces hold a special place. Lingerie crafted with care, knits that grow softer with each season... And then there’s Nouveau monde: essential, discreet. Everyday, seamless lingerie—the kind we’d long dreamed of, which found its way into our lingerie drawer in spring 2023.
Everyday lingerie
Among our most sensual laces, our delicate embroidered tulles, and our jewel-like details, a new desire began to grow in our design studio—one that’s only become stronger with each season. The desire to offer a more minimalist range: an everyday set that’s all about comfort, with no transparency, and designed to suit more body shapes.
The common thread
To bring this desire for comfort to life on the skin, our product team worked tirelessly to find the perfect fabric. And they did. A fabric that ticks every box on our stylists’ wish list: soft, stretchy, and with no compromise on our commitments.
Creating a seamless set that met all our expectations was a long journey. The fabric used for our Nouveau monde range is knitted on circular looms, with each tube corresponding to a specific size—leaving limited room for adjustment. It took multiple trials and close collaboration between our stylists and product developers to find the perfect balance between technical constraints and creative vision. The result: a fine ribbed knit that lays gently against the skin and adapts easily to different body shapes.
In the footsteps of an icon
Nouveau monde was born from a desire for comfort, initially offered in two brief styles, one top style, and a bodysuit. For this everyday lingerie: simple, seamless cuts. On top: a bra with wide straps. On the bottom: a high-waist tanga, then a thong for those who prefer to reveal, alongside a more classic brief for those who prefer greater coverage.

Available in 14 shades since its creation, Nouveau monde quickly became one of our icons. To suit everyday desires throughout the year, the colours black, ivory, and rosy beige are available continuously. Each season since 2023, the range has been enriched with new shades: a deep green to accompany our Sports edit Collection in the mountains, a sky blue for The amuse-bouche Collection, and an almond green to brighten up our Great rendezvous Collection.
Nouveau monde Bandeau bra
Once our clients embraced the initial styles, the desire to add a new top emerged, to offer an even more complete range. In spring 2025, a triangle bra was introduced into our first January collection, meeting the need for lightness. With its thin straps and discreet look, it slips perfectly under our bodysuits or lace tops.
And for this autumn: our team has developed a new knitting technique inspired by cotton pointelle! Still the same fine ribbed knit—comfortable and stretchy—but now adorned with subtle openwork, creating lovely details in the fabric. You can already find these new styles in our Amuse-bouche Collection.

I’m also considering buying the rosy beige colour to wear under a close-fitting t-shirt because it’s so comfortable and discreet.”
Think better, do better
True to our commitments, we naturally wanted this new fabric to be more responsible: at Ysé, that means it is made from over 50% recycled fibres. This helps reduce the use of virgin fibres derived from fossil resources, as well as limit the CO₂ emissions associated with their extraction and processing.
Like our other icons, Nouveau monde is made within the Euro-Mediterranean region: the spinning takes place in Italy, followed by knitting, dyeing, and manufacturing in one of our factories in Tunisia. For several years now, we have strived to be as transparent as possible, and have therefore traced every component of Nouveau monde.
Nouveau monde is not only more responsible because of its fabric: the factory where the range is made undergoes social audits according to recognised standards and has received the very good rating of ICS B99… and it’s not the only one. All our tier 1 partner factories (our manufacturing workshops) are socially audited. These social audits ensure that employees work in good conditions: respect for working hours, healthy work environments, no forced labour, decent wages, and more.
