During the washing of our clothes, broken plastic fibres enter the waste water and cannot be effectively filtered by washing machines or sewage treatment plants.
The Guppyfriend washing bag is the first solution to filter out the tiny particles that break off from synthetic clothes during washing. Thanks to the soft surface of Guppyfriend, clothes lose less fibre, improving their longevity. Longer lasting garments and a more eco-friendly wash - it's a win-win!
Fill to about ⅔ full your washing bag with your synthetic garments. Close the Guppyfriend washing bag and put it in the washing machine. Add other, non-synthetic, textiles and wash as usual. Take the textiles from the Guppyfriend washing bag while they’re still wet. Finally, remove the collected fibres from the inside of the filter fabric by hand and dispose of them in the residual waste.
Don't forget Do not rinse the bag under running water! Only wash textiles of similar colours in the same bag. Fasten your bras before putting them in the Guppyfriend. Do not iron the bag (the wrinkled surface is not a problem).
