Why won't we use the word sale anymore?
From now on we will use "Winter clearance" and "Summer clearance". A new name for a new event.
If you've been following us for some time, you know that we don't do many "sales". Spoiler alert: that's not going to change! So why this new name? It's a name that suits who we are, for something that is special to us.
"Happy days", "Ysé days", "Privilege days", "Private sales": the names change with the seasons and none of them really reflect who we are. But today we feel we need to choose just one name for our events and explain to you why.
When we decide to reduce our stocks we only offer you:
#1 Pieces from previous collections
#2 Pieces that were produced to be put in the sale
#3 Reasonable reductions
WHY DO WE OFFER YOU CLEAR-OUT ITEMS ?
A year before we launch each collection we have to bet on how successful it's going to be. This is a difficult exercise because we love each piece so much. But sometimes there isn't enough of what you love, and sometimes what we love you don't. And it's these overstocked "mistakes" that we offer to you at lower prices during our clear-outs.
A LOWER PRICE
AND NOT A FAIRER PRICE
At Ysé it's really important to offer you quality products at a fair price all year long. A careful and considered process of creation and production is what guarantees fair prices all year long. Its fundamentals are:
#1 Meticulous work by our designers and pattern-makers so we can offer products adapted for each size
#2 A short-circuit (local supply chain), which means our materials and manufacturers are found within 2,500km of Paris.
#3 European sourced materials, with eco-responsible fibres forming a larger part each season
#4 Audited factories, where we have long-standing relationships
#5 Limited stocks
During our Clear-outs we reduce prices by 10% to a maximum of 30%, not because we inflate our prices during the rest of the year, but because we look on this as our present to you and, given our size, this is the most we can do, on limited quantities. We hope this present also gives you the opportunity to find that special something you (perhaps) regretted not buying, at a lower price. This clear-out is designed to please you and also to help us tidy up our drawers and end the year with a little less in them.
